Client: Peace Boat
Two A3-size posters were used to recruit English-speaking volunteer teachers and interpreters for Tokyo-based NGO Peace Boat's global voyages. Tokyo is inundated with public advertising, so this poster utilized bright, eye-catching imagery and bold type to stand out in a crowded landscape. Relavent keywords, the allure of tropical destinations and past participants' proven desire to document their voyages through photography were leveraged to create this tempting recruitment piece. Survey data showed that prospective applicants' greatest barrier to application was a hesitation to leave the comoforts of their life on land. This campaign sought to overcome this fear by appealing to their sense of exploration and adventure.
